Description

You'll understand why this beautiful 3-level log cabin on the back side of Beech Mountain is called "Mama Bear Log Cabin" when you walk through the front door. Mama Bear has trusted the inhabitants of this cabin with several of her babies throughout the home in its rustic decor. SLEEPER SOFAS ABOVE INCLUDE: 1 FULL-SIZE DOWNSTAIRS IN DEN; 1 FULL-SIZE UPSTAIRS IN LOFT. 2 HIDE-A-BEDS DOWNSTAIRS IN DEN. AND ARE INCLUDED IN MAX PARTY.

The cabin sits on 8.5 acres with lots of woods behind and on one side, giving you lots of privacy. However, while sitting on the front covered porch in the rocking chairs and relaxing in the 7-person hot tub, you have a long-range mountain range view except in the summer months. Both sides of the home have an open deck. The owner has installed some permanent shoe brushes on several of the decks for you to wipe any mud or snow on your shoes or boots before entering the home. We thought this was a nice touch!

When you walk through the front door, you will love the open feeling of the living, dining and kitchen areas and wood floors throughout the home. The living room has a cathedral ceiling and a beautiful rock wood-burning fireplace with rock going all the way up two stories. You will love relaxing on the comfortable brown leather sofa, love seat or chair to watch TV or enjoy the beauty of the fire that you created. The owner provides the wood too! The home also has central heat and air-conditioning, and ceiling fans in the living room and all of the bedrooms.

The rustic wood dining room table and chairs sit 6 people. The fully-equipped kitchen has a smooth-top range, over the stove microwave, dishwasher and disposal and ice maker. All appliances are stainless steel. This kitchen comes with some nice extras, i.e., blender, espresso coffee maker, regular coffee maker and a 4-slice toaster. This home has main-level living with the master bedroom located on this floor.

When you walk upstairs from the main level, you enter an open loft that overlooks the living room. It has a card table, two chairs, TV and sleeper sofa. The sofa is even equipped with built-in drink holders! There is a bedroom with queen-size bed and bath also on this level of the home. You will even find some baby bears climbing the loft beam. Downstairs you will find the den with a gas-burning fireplace, TV, the washer and dryer and the third bedroom (with king-size bed) and full bath with walk-in shower. The sofa on this level is a sleeper sofa. There are also 2 hide-a-beds that can be set up. The owners plan to add a pool table in the near future to complete this den/game room. This home is approximately 10 miles from Ski Beech and Ski Sugar slopes.

We have recently changed the way we list our property rentals and fees to make it much easier for you! All of our properties now show the complete price including the $45 security deposit protection plan. All you need to do is choose your length of stay and take the complete price listed in the box above, THEN SUBTRACT ALL OF OUR DISCOUNTS THAT APPLY, add your taxes (not optional), travel insurance (optional) and pet fee (this is not optional if you are bringing your pet to a pet friendly home).
